The White Stone Churches of Vladimir

Carved white limestone churches — the Dormition, St Demetrius, the Church of the Intercession on the Nerl — became models for Moscow's later Kremlin cathedrals.

They are among the finest surviving monuments of pre-Mongol Rus' and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
